Those TV Programmes...

Post by Anita on Mon Oct 24, 2011 11:44 am

Hi!
I'm not keen on TV, but I know it still moves lots of people. While I thought reality shows would be a fad 10 years ago, I can see that, to my amazement, they're as popular as never. I'm reading news from the UK, and 30% of it is related to the X Factor. Gosh!

Is there any TV programme that you like? Why do you like it?
What TV programme can't you put up with? Why your opinion?
Is there any series or programme that you miss a lot but is not broadcast anymore?
Have all the ideas been shown on TV or can you think of any ideas about good TV programmes?

Just while checking the previous forum, I came across this video, How TV Ruins Your Life. It's one of my favourite documentaries because, while witty, it also shows you how TV has changed our way of living, not only to UK TV watchers. My favourite episode is the third one, Aspiration. What do you think of this? Wink

Part 2 - The Lifecycle

Part 3 - Aspiration

[Part 4 - Love

I miss many TV programs from the past. Today we have a thousand of crappy programs that you watch only to distract your eyes, not because they are worthy watching.
I rememer the contest shows and the series, even the American series like the X Files, The Greatest American Hero or Charlie's Angels. Crying or Very sad

Awww!!! The Greatest American Hero!!! I remember how amusing this show was!! He was a peculiar hero despite being an anti-hero. Laughing

This week, the season finale of Dr House was aired. The very last episode of this series was broadcast after 8 seasons. While there was nothing like the first seasons, I have to say that the concept of the series will be really missed. There will be no one like Dr Gregory House - although I'd hate him if he were an actual character! Whistle

Does anybody watch The Walking Dead?

Could you watch House's last episode, Nicole?
It hasn't been broadcast here in Colombia yet. It seems it won't ever be - neither the last two seasons were broadcast. Sad I just know that, just like the first episode's name was named Everybody lives, the very very last episode's name was Everybody dies. And I heard on the radio that it was a good season finale!

People have told me that The Walking Dead is an addictive series, mainly its first series, so it seems it's worth watching!

I won't miss House because it was becoming absurd, just like any other series after their third season.

The beginning of the second season of The Walking Dead was boring, but then it became interesting again like the first one. But I have not seen the last episodes, so I can't say what is going on. It is one of the few good shows to watch today. The rest is pure garbage.

Series are dull after three or four seasons, they become boring, more redundant and complicated, which usually leads to a disappointing ending. That was the case of Lost.

I don't watch TV these months, I just watch old series online. Mainly 80s and 90s.
