The Pope quits!

Post by MusicElf on Tue Feb 12, 2013 6:22 pm

Is the fact that the Pope quits relevant for you as a catholic?

Some people are ready to wait for the 'prophecies' to come true - Nostradamus' prophecies, exactly. Others celebrate his decision because of his connections with the Nazi, and others wonder how on earth he's going to discard his position. Some others say that this is a result of disagreements they do not want to make evident.

Is this really important, mainly when the catholic church is going through so much criticism?

Is anyone here catholic?

I'm not a Catholic, but I think this fuss about the ex-Pope and the coming ballout just demonstrates how human the choice is: evident conflict, secrecy and conspiracy revolve around the Vatican now which, in my opinion, doesn't make the Church a reliable institution. Correct me if I'm wrong!

The worst is that the scandals regarding corruption, paedophelia, sexual abuse or distortion and complot are still there, unsolved, while they keep a double-moral discourse on several issues such as health care, sexuality and even world peace!
